Safety Workwear

There are several professions that are dangerous and involve high risks. Hence, it is necessary that employees who face possible bodily injury of any kind wear industrial safety clothing while performing their jobs. Employers are required to ensure that their employees wear personal protective equipment for the parts of the body exposed to possible injury.

The risks that the workers of different industries are exposed to are numerous and depend on the nature of the industry as well. Workplace hazards that could cause bodily injury include extreme temperatures, risk of open flame, cuts and abrasions, to name a few. Hence, there are different varieties of protective clothing available for specific hazards. Examples of industries where such hazards are high would be construction, mining, welding, oil, railway, chemical and steel industries.

Well-designed protective workwear clothing not only ensures the workers safety, but also instils pride in them. It makes them feel valued and also ensures that they don’t discard the issued workwear and substitute them with their own clothing or with inappropriate workwear. It lends a sense of uniformity at the workplace and gives it a feel of professionalism.

Safety clothing is a basic necessity at any work place. Proper awareness and safety laws are helping employers realise the importance of safety equipment and clothing. It is vital that all businesses have their staff prepared for any eventuality in terms of the protective gear they wear while working in a hazardous environment.

At Opal International we produce a wide range of safety garments, including overalls, protective jackets, sleeveless jackets, coats, vests, bib pants, trousers, shorts, high visibility garments and any other protection wear required by the client. All products are tailor made, as per the clients' specifications and requirements (including customised logo printing and embroidery). We provide customized packaging and presentation as well, irrespective of the quantity ordered.

Our safety outerwear conforms to strict EU standards, and also meets other equivalent international standards. We utilize eco-friendly dyed fabrics in our production line in order to comply with environment safety norms. Since quality is of primary importance to us at Opal International, most of our fabrics are sourced from Oeko Tex® certified mills, and hence are checked on various parameters such as colour fastness, shrinkage control, uniform dyeing etc. The fabrics range from 240 to 350 gsm, and the weaves available are canvas, twill and satin.

Fabrics aside, we pay special attention to the accessories used as well. Zippers from YKK®, buttons from Prym® and reflective tapes from 3M® are used on the safety wear. Local zippers, buttons and reflective tapes are also available.
